~ Cobblestone Basing ~

This is a relatively easy way to make uniform cobblestone paving for your bases. For this tutorial you will need a plastic base, Greenstuff, a stanley-knife blade, and some water.

Step 1:

Mix up some greenstuff to the consistency you are used to working with and squish it onto the base you are using. Bases without slots in them work better, otherwise you may want to block the slot hole with part of a matchstick or greenstuff before beginning. If you don't you might find the greenstuff sags into the hole.

Anyway, as I was saying, squish it onto the base and flatten it out using something flat and plastic. Anything will do, just wet it first so the greenstuff doesn't stick to it.

Once it's flat, clean up the edges by wetting your blade and cutting excess greenstuff off and flattening the edges.

You should end up with something similar to the image at the right (hopefully a lot neater as mine was done quickly!)

Step 2:

Wet your blade and make horizontal lines in the greenstuff by laying the blade flat into the putty as shown in the photo. Wiggle the blade carefully away and toward yourself so the line is nicely defined.

You will probably need to wet your blade each time you do a line.

Step 3:

Wet your blade again and, using the tip, score the top half of each brick. This is kinda hard to explain so just refer to the photo.

Step 4:

Spin the base around.

Repeat the previous step.

The reason I don't just score the entire line in one go is to prevent crossing over the horizontal lines.

Though the photo is kinda messy, but you get the point ;)

Step 5:
The final step is just to clean up the edges by using the flat of the blade.

This tutorial is easier if you just remove the blade from the stanley knife... but I couldn't find my blades so I just used my knife.
