This is my Jen. She stands a little under 1.5cm's tall. I painted her to resemble me when I was little. I sculpted the base out of scratch from various items and some white milliput.
I had so much fun painting this little terror, the plan at the moment is to give it to my mum for her birthday and writing on the base "No love me, no like me, no hug me" - something I used to yell out when I was angry with her, id stand up the top of the staircase with my arms crossed, all shirty like. She'll get a kick out of that. Hopefully I can fit that all on the base :D

Anyway, I plan on making a few of these little bed children in the future, maybe a set with the two girls and boy. Should be fun!

Jen placed 1st in the Small Mini's Category of the CCV and 3rd in the Display Base category, so I'm pretty stoked :)

Thanks to everyone who voted.

I own this set of Hassle Free minis and they are truly tiny.  I assume that Kev sculpted them based on his kids, Irene painted them based on her kids, and for many of us they instantly reminded us of our own kids.

Everything about this vignette made me grin. Definitely a little girl's bed, with all the fun colors and poofy blankies and pillows... which makes a wonderfully dichotomous backdrop for the girl's petulant up-turned lip of a face. Whatever it is her mother wants... she sure doesn't like it!

Haughty little thing isn't she?  So has she just been told off for jumping up and down on her bed?

She could be my little girl with that attitude! It's so cute, I love it!

Just a great, riotous splash of color. The details of the little girl’s bed really make this stand out. I like the carry-over of the flower pattern from head-board, to pillow, to dress.

"It's my bed, and I can jump on it if I want. I'm a warrior princess, after all. Now go fetch me some ice cream!"

By all objective standards, the sculpting of the bed is kind of crude.  But it just COMPLETES the miniature.  All over the world owners of this mini are looking at their painted version in newfound sorrow, contemplating throwing it into the paint-stripping tank and eyeing their tubes of green stuff speculatively.

This one needs a caption: "No! I'm NOT making my bed!" This one's full of personality and great work on the bed!

I will admit that I have seen more realistic bases in this competition, but spot on realism is not everything. This base got my first place slot because it most complemented the personality of the miniature.

This one is just awesome the way the bed looks so real.

She is so damn cute!  And the base shows her off so well.  Especially good when you realize the size.  Excellent job!

The color scheme is ... interesting, but the painter made it work, and work superbly. Beautiful paint job, nice smooth color transitions on the folds of the fabric. And the entire piece has personality, nice use of the base to set up the story of the figure. Wood grain on the bed posts and everything, a superb piece at any size, doubly so at this size.
