I've updated my Gallery with some photos of a couple of Newbold No-Grak miniatures. You can find them by clicking on the image to the left. I haven't been updating lately as I've been busy working on a Troll & Trollslayer diorama for a client and also have a miniature exchange mini I'm running a little late on, whoops. I'm also about to start painting a couple of Vampire Count Strigoi Vampires for another client and have almost finished painting a miniature and writing a miniature review for an online magazine. In amongst all this I still need to get my Gold Demon entries sorted. No, I haven't started. :) I suck. I think I'll just enter three categories and scope out the contest, I'm clueless so I'll probably get disqualified for some stupid reason, but at least I'll know what to expect for next year.

In other news it was my first wedding anniversary on the 25th. Woot. I got a surprise 1.5 hour massage and reflexology treatment thanks to my lovely husband. Man that felt good. We also went and saw War of the Worlds which turned out to be pretty cool. Oh and on top of that he bought me a bottle of Glenlivet *drool* I am spoiled much.

Website Update:  I just reorganised my Gallery page, instead of having all the thumbnails on the one page I've sorted them by manufacturer. Should hopefully save a little bandwidth. A couple of Strigoi Vampires have been added to the Games Workshop section. I've also uploaded my Tiny Souls miniature exchange mini to the Ral Partha section. You can check them out directly by clicking on the thumbnails embedded above.
Forum Update:  I've added a couple of Manufacturer Bulletin Boards to my forums, so any people who sell miniatures or miniature related products can post about their latest releases or special deals in there.
Zor's Update:  Well, I royally buggered up my back the other day, so no painting until the pain goes away. I'm still not sure whether I am going to make it to Conflict Perth or not. We'll see. Not much happening here, I have a couple of Newbold Miniatures to paint and I am still working on my Gold Demon entries. One is finished and just needs to be based, I'm not happy with parts of him, though, so I may touch him up later. The rest of my entries aren't really coming together at all.  Hopefully once my back is better I can power through them. ;)

Website Update:
Well, as you can see I have given the site a facelift. If you notice any broken links in your travels, please let me know. I've added some photos of a mini diorama I have been working on for a while now. It's a special edition Troll and Trollslayer from Games Workshop that I painted up for a friend/client.
Forum Update:  The forums have also undergone a facelift to match the rest of the site. As I mentioned in the last update there is now a section for manufacturer's to advertise their new releases on the boards, so feel free to pop in and do so!
Zor's Update:  Nothing much happening lately, I haven't had much online time for the past week due to the hubby being rather violently ill with bronchitis and the flu. I've been too busy looking after him to paint or do much site updating apart from relocating the site to the new server. He's on the mend, though, so I should be back painting shortly. Mmm sleep. Yay.
Now I just have to figure out how to send this Troll & Slayer diorama to the east without killing it in the process. Any ideas? I was thinking foam and lots of packing beans or even a towel...

I haven't been able to update my site or paint anything lately due to some family health issues. Turns out my hubby's bronchitis and flu was actually pneumonia and he had to spend a couple of nights in hospital. He's feeling a lot better now, but on the same night he went into hospital, my little baby Griever managed to injure his spine and had to be taken to an emergency veterinary clinic. He's been hospitalised since Tuesday night so we are pretty worried about him. We visited him today and he seemed very alert and perky for a doggie who can't move his back legs, so I guess that's something. The vet tells us that he is getting better, he can stay upright for about five seconds when placed on his back legs, but will need to stay in the clinic until he regains full control over his bladder and gets some leg movement back.
So if you can say a little prayer for him before you go to sleep at night, it would be much appreciated :)

Hopefully I regain the urge to paint some time soon, I'm going to have to start painting some of the miniatures I have here at home and selling them on ebay so I can save up some money to pay for Griever's nursing care. At the moment I don't have much of an urge to paint at all, unfortunately.

Zordana Update: Well, things are looking slightly better on the home-front. My husband is feeling better and is back at work, though is still a little tired so he needs to rest up a lot. Griever spent over a week at the emergency clinic getting medicine and physio and costing us a small fortune in the process *wry smile*. Fortunately he is home now, I have to give him physiotherapy sessions four times a day and keep an eye on his bladder and bowel movements. He's weeing like a little champ, albeit all over his front legs, but you can't really blame a fella for that, can you? He has very little strength in his back legs so we walk him about using a tail brace (basically its a masking tape contraption that is stuck to his tail so you can use it like a leash and support his back half). His left rear leg is the stronger of the two, his right had almost no movement but in the last few days he seems to be getting some movement happening there and is placing his feet on the ground a little better.

I haven't had a chance to paint at all since all this happened, but I might be able to steal away an hour or two each day, depending on Grievers sleeping pattern in between his physio sessions. It will be nice to get back into the swing of things.

Website Update: I do have a little miniature news for you this time! A while back I painted up a Magnificent Ego's miniature, Galatius Aquatinus, and wrote an article on the painting process for an online magazine - 'Fictional Reality'. The issue ( sept 05 ) has been published and you can see my article in the Painting Workshop if you download the magazine by clicking on the cover shot here.
If you wish to purchase one of the miniatures you can do so by visiting the Magnificent Ego's website. A direct link to Galatius is here. As you can see, my pictures are up in the store, I'm pretty stoked about that.
I'll be updating my site with Galatius shortly, and will get a direct link to my article soon. Galatius will probably also be for sale sometime soon, so if you are interested in purchasing him, keep an eye on my for sale section.
Thanks, guys.

Well there are four days until the Golden Demon's here in Australia and I'm still not finished. Originally I was only going to have one entry, but somehow I've managed to pull four out of my arse. It's a big arse, I've put on weight.
So it turns out I am entering Fantasy Single, Fantasy Large, LOTR Single and LOTR Large. I will be incredibly surprised if I win anything considering the amount of time I have spent on these guys (or lack thereof), but I just wanted to enter. It'll be nice to do something fun after all the crap that's been happening lately. I'm kind of excited and nervous. Woot.

Nothing to update you with at the moment. I'll sell Galatius once I get a chance and as soon as the GD's are over i'll get back into painting some miniatures for sale :)

Wish me luck... I'll need it! *grin*

Happy Birthday James (for the 3rd anyway) :)

I've updated my site to include the Painting Workshop article I wrote for Fictional Reality. You can find it on Galatius Aquatinus' page and on the Hints & Tips page. It is in PDF format and is just over 1mb in size.

All my four entries made it through to the finals of the Golden Demons which are to be held in two weeks. I'll let you know how I go. :)
Congratulations to all the Tiny Souls members who entered and those who made it through. *cheers*
Sorry about the lack of updates. I have a few commission jobs to get through, once they are done I might take a long break from commission work and paint up some miniatures of my own for sale on here. Will be nice to paint some of the stuff my friends have kindly donated to me over the last several months.

Those of you who currently have commission jobs with me I apologise for the wait, I haven't had as much painting time as I would have liked so they are taking a lot longer than first thought. I haven't forgotten about you and am working on your pieces, so don't worry, they should be done soon. :)

Updated my gallery with photos of a warcrow miniature, Aisha Kira-Moura.
My skaven commission should be finished soon, then I have one more commission job left to do before I can paint my own miniatures. Yay :)

Turns out I'll be flying out to Sydney for a few days for the Gold Demons and to visit my family. Should be fun!

Well, I'm back from Sydney with a couple of Bronze Demons in tow. My two Arwen's took out 3rd place in both Lotr Single and Large. You can see all the winners up on the official site here. The competition was fun, unfortunately I was sick for half the time I was in Sydney so I couldn't stick around GW for long. Congratulations to Sebastian Archer for taking out the sword and a huge congrats to all the Tiny Souls members who entered and those who won! I'll be building a webpage for our Trophy Cabinet soon :)
Sydney was great, it was fantastic to catch up with my family and friends, some of whom I haven't seen for years. My cousin, Lisi, layered and dyed my hair and gave me some foils. She also tried curling it, but soon found out that curls don't last long in my hair ;) My cousins are so grown up now it's almost scary, they are such lovely young ladies *sob* ;)

Anyway I won't bore you with anymore family talk. I have a miniature up for auction tonight, Galatius Aquatinus, the miniature I painted for the Fictional Reality e-zine. You can find his auction here! Or click on his headshot at the left.

My Golden Demon entries will go on sale once i've organised their display bases.
Scroll down for a picture of my demons.

I just put one of my Golden Demon entries up on eBay. He is a Wood Elf Lord who was a finalist but didn't place on the day. You can get to the auction by clicking on his thumbnail at the left or by going to the Tiny Souls Marketplace. I will have a page for him with pictures on my site shortly. :)

I've updated my site with all my Golden Demon entries and winners. You can get to their respective pages by clicking the thumbnails below.

I've also added a page for a couple of Newbold World Miniatures I painted in September. For some reason I forgot to upload them.

I think that's it for now :)

I've added an Assassin Miniatures 'Female Seer' to my gallery. I was tempted to hold onto this little lady as she is my favourite miniature to date, but the credit card bill beckons so she is up in the marketplace for sale.

I've also put my Bronze Demon winning Mounted Arwen and my Ogre Tyrant up for direct sale in the marketplace.

Also added some new websites on my links page:
Dark Age Games
Crunch-Waffle Enterprises
Exodus Road Hobbies and Miniatures
Wolf's Den Woodworking
Dragonsreach

I've added a wip tutorial on painting sultry female eyes to my Hints page.

Hope you all had a fantastic holiday.
