I am officially a year older. Joy. ;)
On a more site-related note, I've updated the links page with another link to a hobby site. This time it's Fantascene, these guys make some really kickarse scenery, so if you are looking to add a little spice to your wargaming table or roleplaying table, check them out. Here are a few thumbnails of some of their scenery:

Been a while since I've updated. I blame laziness.
I painted up another Morgan Le Fay for a good client of mine. She wanted her painted in a similar fashion to my old Morgan and, to my joy, was happy with the results! You can see her in the gallery section or by clicking her thumbnail.

I've also uploaded a Newbold World Miniatures set that I painted in December and forgot to upload. Irene Klaw, Zor & Dana can be found in the gallery or by clicking their thumbnail.

I lowered the price a little on my assassin figure that's for sale. As much as I love the little thing, credit card bills take precedence, but she won't be lowered anymore damn it!! *shakes a fist then strokes the little one's hair fondly*
The bronze demon winning Ogre Tyrant is still for sale. Hopefully I'll have some more stuff up for sale soonish. I was supposed to be on a hiatus from commission work but accepted a couple of jobs... I'm weird like that. Anyway, I plan on starting work on my Golden Demon entries very shortly so I will definitely be on a commission work hiatus then!

I'm never really sure whether I should notify my mailing list of my site updates... sometimes they are very boring updates.

I should have some more photos for the gallery soon, I took part in some miniature exchanges and competitions recently but can't post the images until their recipients have them safely in hand and the competitions are over.

Don't forget to visit my forum!!

Not much to tell you today. I should have some new miniature photos for the gallery soon, most of the stuff I've been painting lately has been for competitions or mini-exchanges so I can't put them up on my site just yet.

I made a chat channel on the darkfire network named #tinysouls. You can find links in the left menu. The browser client would be better for people who want to chat at work, but there's a another link for those of you who use mirc. If you use different client, just connect to irc.darkfire.net and join the channel. At the moment I'm just sitting in there testing the server stability, seem's pretty stable so far though :)

I also added a link to The Art Shop.com on my links page. They are a great aussie based store who sell a variety of art products including:

Francheville Brushes
(I buy the 424 Pure Red Sable 20/0 size brushes and the 200 Taklon Pointed in 10/0, 5/0, 3/0, 0, 1)

Winsor & Newton Brushes
(I think I bought a 00 and a 0)

Acrylic Mediums
(I bought some Winsor & Newton Pumice Texture Gel and Glass Beads Texture Gel just cause I wanna see what the heck it is!)

As you can see there's all kinds of funky stuff there. They also have a school supply and pen store, there are links on the home page. The school supply store has a variety of those really cool diaries, day planners, desk calendars and stuff :)

Anyhoo the service has been really great so far so I can happily recommend them to any aussies looking for a place to buy brushes n stuff.

Sorry I haven't updated my site in a gazillion years, I've been sick as a dog and most of the past couple of months has been spent on the couch!  Yay for everything!
Anyway, I'm feeling much better lately so I'm slowly trying to get back into the swing of things. To those of you who have commission jobs outstanding with me (I think there are only two) I apologise profusely and will get your miniatures painted as soon as possible!!

I actually sold a miniature on ebay recently and totally forgot to update my front page with the details. I'm so muddle headed right now. *shakes her head*

Anyhoo, there isn't much news to tell you since I haven't been doing any painting lately. I plan on painting up a Dark Age dragyri model with a step-by-step guide sometime soon. That should be fun and, hopefully, helpful to some. I also plan on painting up a whole stackload of the miniatures sitting in my drawers and selling them on ebay and on my site so I can pay off the horrible amount of money on my credit card. Stupid credit card. ;)
Just kidding, I love the thing.

Oh! I also plan on starting work on my 06 Golden Demon entries. I've been meaning to start them for ages, but commission jobs and being unwell kinda put that on the backburner. I have so many ideas for this one model for single fantasy, but no idea if I can actually pull it off. Here's hoping eh. *sobs* As for the rest of the categories... god knows! It's so hard to decide on miniatures, especially when you plan on trying to convert most of them but you have no converting skills whatsoever. :D

I'm also waiting on the damn rules for the bloody thing. I'm too scared to start painting in case they turn around and change the categories on us. I'm not even entirely sure what category my mounted fantasy will be in. Hmm. How annoying.

Anyway I've babbled enough. Hope all you guys have been ok and had a lovely Easter. If easter is something you celebrate, anyway.
Sorry again for taking so long to update.

Almost forgot, I put the Haniel Female I sold on ebay in my gallery under Dark Age Games. :)

Hi guys, it's about time for an update methinks. I've uploaded a couple of Lord of the Rings miniatures to my gallery. They were painted for a client back in March and I hope you like them!

I also uploaded photos of a Warmachine miniature, Kommandant Irusk to the gallery. He was painted sometime around February for a miniature exchange on the warhammer.org.uk forums. I totally forgot to add him to my site until now.

There are probably other miniatures I've forgotten to add to the site, I'll get around to them eventually.

Don't forget to check out the forums for crazy banter and painting tips. There's a link in the menu up the top.

Oh I also added a couple of Artist links to my Links page.
Jokers Wear Black ~ JWB's site is actually still under construction, but there are lots of cool painted minis to peruse.
Fingolfin.net ~ I dunno why I haven't put Flynn's site in my Artist section yet. I'm a moron. Anyway, lots of eyecandy on his site to check out!

Well, as you probably gathered from the image above, if all goes to plan I will be giving birth to my own tiny soul in November.

This is the reason I decided to stop taking commission jobs a few months ago. Painting just doesn't seem to agree with me lately. I have been feeling much better though and will probably start painting some of my own miniatures soon, I'll throw them onto the Marketplace page for sale once they are done.

So, apologies to anyone whose commission requests have been turned down in the last four months. I had good reason! :)

Anyway, you probably won't see any interesting updates on here for a little while, but I promise to get back into the swing of things soon.

Cheerio!

I've added a tutorial on Layering & Feathering in the Hints and Tips section of the site.
I've also added a link to M.S.B. Toys in the Links section.

Also, check out the link at the left, for my best cmon listing so far!!
Isn't she a beauty? ;)

Man, I haven't updated in ages.

I only have a couple of new miniatures to show you, they were painted back in August or July, I can't remember which month :)
Archie New and Villy Bold from Newbold World Miniatures.

I'll have another update for you shortly, a Hasslefree vignette I am quite proud of.
Sorry about the lack of updates, I haven't been painting much lately, plus I kinda should get my arse into gear and start a Gold Demon entry... considering it has to be done by the beginning of October!

Here's the Hasslefree vignette I was talking about in my last update. 'Sand-bag End with Freddy Bagshott and Stan Gammage' painted for Kev at Hasslefree Minis. It was an absolute joy to paint and I am really proud with the end result.  I hope you guys like it. :)

Well, I managed to get my Golden Demon entries done in time... just. I was only able to enter two categories this time (LOTR single and large) because I left it until two weeks before the due date. Whoopsies. So far they've both made it to Regionals, won't find out about the finals until the end of this week though.

I've added a couple of LOTR miniatures to my gallery. They were both painted for the same client recently. They were actually supposed to be painted quite a long time ago but postal issues and the golden demons slowed the job down a bit. You can check out their pages by clicking on the thumbnails below. They are also on cmon.

Well I have some good news and some not so good news. First the good news, I managed to win two demons in this years Golden Demon painting competition!

Boromir took out SILVER in LOTR Single and my Mordor Troll took out GOLD in LOTR Large!!

Yes, that's right, I won a gold. Woot!  Zor is very happy about that. :)
I have posted a couple of shots of the troll and one shot of boromir in my gallery, I'll post more when I get them back as I didn't take many shots before I sent them out and certain things had been altered slightly before I entered them. I probably won't get them back for a couple of weeks at least, but when I do they will likely be going up for sale either on my site or on ebay.

Now for the not so good news. Well, I still have a baby inside me!! The little pest refuses to budge and I am already a week overdue! I have an antenatal appointment tomorrow morning so we will see what the doctor has to say. I'm praying to God that I don't have to have an internal. *shudder*  I'm guessing that I will be booked in to be induced very shortly, which is a shame as I kinda wanted the contractions to come on naturally. Oh well.

I must say I'm a little disappointed about my pregnancy ticker image... I figured the elephant would fall off the end if I went overdue. What a let down ;)
